- Usable with slipring motors up to 750
kW (1,000 h.p.)
- Three-phase supply up to 1,500 V.
- Starting
performed by resistance variation (resistivity difference between liquid electrolyte
and its vapour).
- Starting without surge and peak of current.
Available
instruments:
- M 350: for motors
from 200 kW to 750 kW (270 h.p. to 1 000 h.p.)
- M 70: for motors from 90 kW
to 200 kW (125 h.p. to 270 h.p.)
- M 35: for motors up to 120 kW (160 h.p.)
- M 15: for motors up to 30 kW (40 h.p.)
- Automatic shorting of
the residual resistance at the end of the run up time.
- Possible braking by
resistance insertion.
- The starter can be equipped with an Electronic Protection
Module DRS 1:
Detection of the motor mechanical locking.
Optimization
of the starting time.
Monitoring of the electrolyte temperature.
Limitation
of the number of starts per hour. - No moving parts (except the shorting contactor).
- Protection IP 54 (M 350) or IP 63.
- Temperature of the electrolyte is controlled
by thermostat.
