The COFRAC metrology services in Temperature (Accreditation n°: 2.1525) are performed by SOFIMAE, in-house service company that is 100% subsidiary of AOIP. You will find the ranges and uncertainties of the COFRAC accreditation below and on COFRAC website at www.cofrac.fr.
SOFIMAE’s COFRAC accreditation in Temperature covers laboratory calibration of platinum resistance thermometers, thermoelectric couples and temperature chains.
Choice between two calibration methods: comparison calibration or calibration with Fixed Points
Two calibration methods are performed by SOFIMAE laboratory, both offering premium uncertainties: comparison calibration or calibration with Fixed Points. The choice of the method depends on the level of accuracy requested: If the uncertainty shall be lower than 0.01°C, we recommend you to perform calibration with Fixed Points. In case the uncertainty tolerance is wider or if several probes need to be calibrated, comparison calibration is more adapted.
